Our Process

 We understand that every job is unique in many ways. We love bringing an idea from your imagination into the everyday. Jasper never takes a cookie cutter approach to any project. However, we do have our processes and best practices. Here's an overview of our basic process: 

1. Consultation

After you contact us, we’ll set up a meeting at your home, office, the project’s site, or we can videoconference to discuss your plans, the overall design, and the scope of work.

2.Budgetary Proposal

Our team will organize all of the information into a scope of work and assign costs accordingly based on the most recent historical data from similar projects. This will NOT be the final estimate, but a budgetary proposal for you to decide if you would like to continue to the next step. You can expect to receive a budgetary proposal within 2 weeks from our initial meeting. Then, you will have up to 10 days to respond with a decision on whether or not to move forward.  

3. Estimate Review and Signing

This step is the most important. Great projects evolve and we understand changes are an important part of the design process. At this point, we will procure plans if needed and send out detailed scopes of work to all our partners in the trades. Upon reviewing their bids, we revise the cost of the project and finalize all of the details to compile a comprehensive work scope and cost estimate. We will also create a submittal package with all the finishes that you choose with the necessary details. The goal is to eliminate gray areas and mitigate the need for extensive change orders and ultimately save you time, money. Once the estimate is complete and agreeable to you, both parties will sign the contract and the project will commence. There will be a deposit due (usually 20% of the total price) upon signing and your spot will be secured on Jasper's schedule.

4. Pre-Construction

During this phase of your project, our project managers are working to schedule, plan, and procure everything needed to make your dream a reality. Surveys, permits, engineering, and site-prep are just a few of the elements we’ll be working to organize before we begin construction. 

5. Construction

This is when the fun begins! From inspections and audits, we keep our clients informed of our progress via Builder Trend. With this web-based platform, our clients are welcome to login and monitor our progress from anywhere, day or night. Throughout the entire process, our clients are encouraged to communicate with the project manager on their job as much as possible. Building a dream is exciting and we love to share it.

6. Closing the Project

After the work is complete, we walk through and inspect the job and any punch-list items remaining will be assessed. Jasper's one-year warranty begins the day of closing.  At this time, the final 5% remaining will be due. Once paid, the project will be officially finished.

7. 10 Month Inspection

Around ten months after the build, we schedule a time to come back for a complete and comprehensive inspection of your project. Any adjustments needed will be made as quickly as possible. Your satisfaction is a valuable component to our success.
