dreams that matter

You have a vision for what home should feel like. Not just how it should look, but how it would welcome you at the end of a long day. You've carried that vision through conversations, sketches, plans, and daydreams. You've imagined the rooms where your life will unfold and the moments that will one day become cherished memories.

So did we.

Before JASPER was a company, it was a dream.

Hundreds of them, actually. Shared between two people who believed the life they were building together was worth fighting for.

About the kind of life we wanted to create. The kind of family we wanted to raise. The kind of work we wanted to do, and whether we could use what we'd been given to serve other families while building something we were proud of.

We didn't know exactly what that looked like yet. But we knew what it felt like. And that was enough to begin.

The name carries a meaning most people don't know.

When Jasmine's mother was young, she dreamed of having two children: a daughter named Jasmine and a son named Jasper. Life had other plans. She had Jasmine and eight more beautiful children, but never Jasper.

Years later, when it came time to name the company, that dream found its way back to us.

JASPER felt right immediately. Not just because of the name, but because of what it represents. Jasper is a precious stone often associated with strength, protection, and steadfastness. We couldn't think of a more fitting symbol for the homes, families, and futures entrusted to our care.

A reminder that dreams matter. That the things we hope for, work toward, and sacrifice for have value, even when the path unfolds differently than we imagined.

That belief is woven into everything we do and the legacy we are building.

We know what it means to rebuild.

Years before JASPER existed, our family went through a season that changed the way we see home forever.

We made a decision that required us to leave everything familiar and start over. We weren't simply moving. We were rebuilding our lives with four young children, more uncertainty than we'd ever faced before, and everything on the line.

It was one of the hardest seasons we've ever lived through.

It was also one of the most defining.

It taught us something we carry into every project we take on:

Home is where your children feel safe. It's where cherished family traditions begin. It's where you gather after the best days and the hardest ones. It's where life happens.

When you've lived through seasons where stability is fragile, you gain a deep appreciation for the role a home plays in a family's life. We don't take that lightly. We never will.

The values behind JASPER came from our story. The way we built it came from the experience each of us brought to the table.

Two skillsets. One shared standard.

Jed began his construction career at nineteen on a 23,000-square-foot custom home in the mountains of western Connecticut. Over the decades that followed, he worked across every category of construction: luxury homes, historic restorations, commercial projects, and residential building. What never changed was his belief that details matter and craftsmanship is non-negotiable.

Jasmine brought a different perspective as a mother. With a degree in Business Accounting and Finance from Lipscomb University and years of experience in leadership, systems, and operational excellence, she focused on a question most builders never ask:

What does the client experience during the process?

Together, we started asking an even harder question.

Why does building or renovating a home have to be so difficult? Does it?

JASPER was born from that question.

As a family, we had lived through many moves, renovations, and construction projects ourselves. We had experienced the excitement of transforming a space, along with the confusion, delays, and poor communication that too often came with it.

We knew there was a better way.

What if the process was just as intentional as the finished product? What if clients felt informed, cared for, and confident from day one? What if building a dream home could actually feel like building a dream?

In 2020, we built the company we wished had existed when we needed it.

The goal was never simply to build beautiful homes.

It was to create an experience that honors how personal home truly is.

For most families, a home is far more than an investment. It's the setting for birthdays, holidays, quiet mornings, late-night conversations, and the ordinary moments that become the memories you cherish most.

We believe those moments matter. We believe the spaces where they happen should be built with that in mind.

That's why we've built JASPER around clarity, communication, craftsmanship, and care. It's why we treat every project as if it were our own. And it's why, years later, we still feel deeply honored every time a family trusts us with their home.

We're not just building and transforming houses.

We're creating the backdrop for your family's life and legacy.

And that's a responsibility we never take lightly.
